MAILPAC 5.6 contains the following enhancements:
1. Mailpac 5.6 is compatible with Sage ACCPAC ERP version 5.6
2. From version 5.6 onwards, Modulo will not be updating Online help documents for our products. The 5.5 version of online help is included with the program package, but for the latest documentation please refer to the manual.
3. Each MAILPAC Log file is now stored to a central directory with a date-time stamp, as a history of documents processed. For example a remittance advice log file might be called: MAILPACLog_APRMIT_22 Jan 2010 10-31-09.txt
On the Mailpac Process Documents screen you can now select to view the last log file or all log files. The last log file option will only show the last log file created by that user during that Windows session. The all logs option will open the Log Files Folder as defined in the Mailpac options screen, and display a list of all Mailpac log files. You must define a valid Log Files Folder in Mailpac Options to use this function.
4. You can now alter the default message (as defined in Mailpac Document Setup) for each document delivery run. The default email subject and message is now shown and can be modified on the send documents screen which is the final screen you see when delivering documents from Mailpac. Any changes will only affect the current delivery run. To permanently change the default message use Mailpac Document Setup.

5. Mailpac now treats miscellaneous receipts and payments, where the vendor or customer is defined, as normal receipts and payments - i.e. it uses their delivery method. Previously it defaulted to the printer – now it only does this if it is miscellaneous and there is no vendor or customer defined.
6. You can now optionally attach one or more extra files (in addition to the Mailpac document) to emails generated by MAILPAC. This feature is only available when sending emails via the Outlook, Notes or SMTP methods - as setup on the Mailpac Options screen. The ACCPAC MAPI method does not support this feature.
To use this feature:
i) Ensure that the correct email method is setup on the MAILPAC Options screen (either Outlook, Notes or SMTP)
ii) On the MAILPAC Process Documents screen select the documents to send and press Next.
iii) Choose the Attach File button and select a file to attach to the email. Do this multiple times to attach more than one file.
iv) Send the documents. The emails will be sent with the attached ACCPAC document as normal, as well as the attachments you specified.
7. Html formatted email messages can now be sent from Mailpac. This feature is only supported when sending emails via the Outlook or SMTP methods - as setup on the Mailpac Options screen. The ACCPAC MAPI method or Notes method does not support this feature.
8. SMTP settings now save to the Mailpac Options table rather than the registry. Any settings previously stored in the registry, can be retrieved by opening Mailpac Options – you should see your version 5.5 registry settings for SMTP Server and Sender Email. Press save to complete the transfer from the registry to the Options table.
9. The performance of delivery of OE Confirmations, OE Credit Note and Purchase Orders has been improved for large Accpac company databases.
